We love Jennifer Behr

Hey girls, I want to share with you about a great designer based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  I 've had my eye on since my wedding day in 2009.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy one of her fabulous pieces since I had already bought mine. :-(  but you have a chance!

About the designer:

Jennifer Behr started hand-stitching headpieces and hair accessories when she was still a student of art
history and sculpture in Baltimore.  While their popularity eventually justified the opening a tiny shop dedicated to her custom creations, this was to be but the beginning of an exciting millinery career.  She soon went on to design a hair accessory collection for celebrity hairstylist Frederic Fekkai, under contract with Chanel.  When this line was discontinued, an esteemed buyer at Bergdorf Goodman encouraged Behr to continue with her own label; she has not looked back since.

Jennifer's fabulous creations a natural choice amongst Hollywood’s A-list celebrities and a favorite amongst the editors of W, Elle, and Nylon, who have featured her designs on several occasions

Inspiration board 9: Winter Wedding

I have skipped our fall board but do not be alarmed, I will get to it eventually. 
We are 4 months away from winter. Nothing is more romantic and wonderful than a winter wedding. The decor is drastic, the cakes are taller, the gowns are puffier and full of details. I think for a woman getting married in the winter, she has bigger plans for her wedding day.

Also a perfect organic color if you are having an outdoor wedding.  I have made this inspiration board with NYC brides in mind who want to make less of an impact on the earth.

Wedding Hair: Updos for the Spring!

What's a girl to do?  Half down, Down or Updos?
It might sound like such a task however we must remain sane and think of what women had to settle for not so long ago when there was no internet.  All I can say is Thank God for Google! We now have worldwide access to hair styles from around the world.  
My best advice to brides is to be prepared when you go to your hair trial.
• Must bring your own printed pictures for your hairstylist so he/she doesn't have to guess.
• Do not wash your hair that morning.
• Do not forget your hair accessories! You will be saving yourself time and money. (veils/bircages/fascinators/ brooch/ headbands/ feather/ flowers - bring a fake flower similar to the real thing you are wearing)
• Bring your camera.

Inspiration Board 6: Orange and Blue Wedding

Spring is almost here and what's a better way to start the day by creating a wedding inspiration board for our upcoming season. I am sure we can't all wait for the spring to arrive! This board has bold colors however the combination of blue and orange are easy on the eyes.  I did not add hair accessories for this spring day wedding board, I think this is the best time to take advantage of  beautiful flowers available to you.
